Image quality improvement…
Moving to supporting Flash 8 as the minimum player has allowed me to implement significantly better image quality, particularly when using lower resolution images.
Rather than duplicating pixels when zooming in, they are filtered, with looks much smoother, as opposed to looking pixilated. Higher resolution images will look better because instead of simply eliminating pixels to scale the image to size, we filter neighboring pixels to eliminate shimmering and produce a better looking image.
I don’t anticipate any side effects, but please let me know if there are any problems.
