Changes to PrimaryAccess
We have put up a new version of PrimaryAccess on the site with 2 changes:
1. Set Motion Option
A “Set Motion” option has been added to the “Options button” in the “My Folder” panel. This will enable kids to apply motions to images in their folder prior to adding them to the script. When added to the script, the motion will initialize to that setting opposed to the default motion. The moves set are stored to the server when the script is saved.
This offers an opportunity for teachers to add a new step in the moviemaking process which could be used to encourage students to make thoughtful and purposeful moves that furthers the narrative, as opposed to the random moves we typically see in student movies.
We need to develop some online instructional materials that help teachers and students use motion as a communication tool.
2. Deleting Images from a Script
Deleting an image from a movie will leave the other images at their positions in the script. Before, they would all be shifted up when an image before them in the script was removed.
